Subscription & Refund Policy

1. Subscription Plans

StrengthOS offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans provide access to premium features, which may include workout programming, self-coaching tools, coach tools, athlete management, analytics, and other plan-specific features.

  • Plan Transparency: The features, billing cycle, price, usage limits, and athlete limits for each subscription plan are shown before checkout.
  • Authorization: By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize StrengthOS and its payment provider, Stripe, to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until your subscription is cancelled, expired, suspended, or terminated.

2. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

You are responsible for keeping your payment method valid and up to date. If your payment method expires, is declined, or cannot be charged, your subscription may enter a failed-payment status.

Stripe may provide a secure hosted page where you can update your payment method and pay outstanding invoices.

3. Failed Payments and 7-Day Grace Period

If a subscription payment fails, Stripe and/or StrengthOS may automatically retry the payment.

After the first failed payment, your account will receive a 7-day grace period. During this time, your paid subscription access may remain active while you update your payment method or complete the outstanding payment.

If payment is not successfully completed within 7 days, your paid subscription access will be suspended.

4.Account Suspension After Failed Payment

If your subscription remains unpaid after the 7-day grace period:

  • Your paid plan access will be suspended.
  • You may lose access to premium StrengthOS features.
  • Coach accounts may lose access to coach tools and athlete-management features.
  • Athletes connected to a suspended coach account may lose access to coach-provided programming or paid-plan functionality.
  • Your account may be downgraded to the Free Plan where applicable.
  • You may be required to pay any outstanding invoice before your paid access is restored.

Suspension does not automatically delete your account data, but access to paid features will remain restricted until the billing issue is resolved.

5. Reactivating a Suspended Subscription

You may reactivate your subscription by updating your payment method and successfully paying the outstanding invoice or starting a new subscription.

After successful payment, StrengthOS may restore your paid features, plan limits, coach tools, athlete access, and other subscription benefits.

StrengthOS does not guarantee that all previous settings, athlete relationships, programming access, or plan benefits will remain available indefinitely after a long suspension.

6. Upgrading Your Plan

You may upgrade your subscription plan where supported.

When you upgrade:

  • The new plan may take effect immediately after successful payment.
  • Stripe may calculate a prorated charge based on the unused time on your current plan and the remaining time in the current billing cycle.
  • You may be charged the difference between your current plan and the upgraded plan.
  • Your new features or limits become available after the upgrade payment succeeds.

Stripe’s proration system may apply credits for unused time on the old plan and charges for remaining time on the new plan. For example, an upgrade in the middle of a billing cycle can create a partial charge for the upgraded plan.

If the upgrade payment fails, the upgrade may not be applied, and your account may remain on the current plan until payment is completed. Stripe supports applying some subscription updates only after the related invoice is successfully paid.

7. Downgrading Your Plan

You may downgrade your subscription plan where supported.

When you downgrade:

  • The downgrade may take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing period, depending on how the change is processed.
  • You may lose access to premium features, coach tools, athlete limits, or usage limits included in your previous plan.
  • If your current usage exceeds the new plan limits, you may need to remove athletes, reduce usage, or adjust your account before the downgrade can fully apply.
  • Any unused time from the higher plan may be applied as account credit where applicable, but it is not automatically refunded.

Stripe notes that negative prorations, meaning credits created by unused time, are not automatically refunded. They may be applied as credit unless a manual refund is issued.

8. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings, the billing portal, or by contacting support. Cancellation may take effect:

  • Immediately
  • At the end of the current billing period
  • On a scheduled cancellation date

If your subscription is cancelled at the end of the billing period, you may continue using paid features until the current paid period ends. Stripe supports this through cancellation at period end.

After cancellation becomes effective:

  • Your paid subscription will stop renewing.
  • You will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
  • Your account may be downgraded to the Free Plan.
  • You may lose access to premium features, coach tools, athlete management, analytics, and paid programming features.

Cancellation does not automatically create a refund.

9. Refund Policy

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where StrengthOS approves a refund at its discretion.

Refunds may be considered for:

  • Duplicate charges
  • Billing errors
  • Accidental duplicate subscriptions
  • Technical payment issues
  • Exceptional cases reviewed by StrengthOS

Refunds are generally NOT provided for:

  • Unused subscription time
  • Forgetting to cancel before renewal.
  • Lack of usage
  • Change of mind
  • Failed-payment suspension
  • Downgrading after a successful renewal
  • Cancellation after the billing period has already started

Stripe allows full or partial refunds after a successful payment, but the refund must be issued by the business. Stripe also states that refunds are sent back to the original payment method and cannot be sent to a different card or bank account.

Approved refunds may take approximately 5–10 business days to appear, depending on the customer’s bank or card issuer.

10. Proration, Credits, and Billing Adjustments

When you upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or otherwise modify your subscription, Stripe may calculate prorated charges or credits. Proration may occur when:

  • You change from one paid plan to another.
  • You increase or decrease plan quantity, where applicable.
  • You change billing periods.
  • You add or remove subscription items.
  • You cancel during a billing period with proration enabled.

A prorated credit does not automatically mean a cash refund. It may instead be applied to your account balance and used toward future invoices unless StrengthOS decides to issue a refund.

11. Outstanding Invoices

If you have unpaid invoices, StrengthOS may require you to pay the outstanding amount before you can:

  • Reactivate a suspended subscription
  • Upgrade to another plan
  • Resume paid access
  • Add athletes or coach features
  • Start a new subscription using the same account

If a subscription is cancelled, some pending invoice items or usage-based charges may still be payable depending on the billing configuration. Stripe notes that pending invoice items or metered usage may still result in final billing unless they are removed or cleared.

12. Free Plan After Cancellation, Downgrade, or Suspension

If your paid subscription is cancelled, downgraded, expired, or suspended, your account may be moved to the Free Plan where available.

The Free Plan includes limited access only. Paid features, coaching tools, athlete management features, programming access, analytics, and other premium functionality may no longer be available.

13. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, your subscription access may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

StrengthOS may restrict account access, cancel the subscription, or require resolution of the dispute before restoring paid features.

14. Abuse, Misuse, or Violation of Terms

StrengthOS may suspend or terminate access if an account is used in a way that violates payment terms, platform rules, security requirements, or applicable law.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Payment fraud
  • Unauthorized account sharing
  • Abuse of coach or athlete access
  • Attempting to bypass plan limits
  • Misuse of subscription features
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Violation of StrengthOS terms or policies
